This policy covers MNC Goats, trading as MNC Goats (we, us, our). We provide targeted goat grazing across Port Macquarie and the NSW Mid North Coast.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry or ask for an estimate. The form asks for your name, email address, phone number, suburb and postcode. Those five are required. It also optionally collects your street address, the size of the area and the unit you measured it in, how dense the vegetation is, the terrain, why you want the work done, how soon you need it, whether there’s water and fencing on site, your budget, and anything you type into the notes.
When you become a customer. To move livestock onto your land we need your property identification code (PIC), and we keep records of the site inspection, quotes, invoices, payments, photos of the site before and after, and the welfare and movement records of the goats.
When you use the cost estimator. Each estimate you run is saved in your own browser — the figures and the options you picked, nothing that identifies you. If you then send an enquiry from the same browser, that list is attached to your message so we can see what you were quoted before you got in touch. It’s cleared once the enquiry is sent, expires after 90 days, and clearing your browsing data removes it.
When you use this website. Our analytics and advertising tools collect your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how you arrived, and interactions such as submitting a form or tapping the phone number. See Cookies, analytics and advertising below.
We don’t ask for sensitive information as defined in the Privacy Act, and we don’t collect payment card details through this website.
Being anonymous
You can ring us or ask general questions without giving your name. We can’t quote a job or put goats on a property anonymously, because we need to know whose land it is and how to reach you if something goes wrong at 2am.
Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry, work out a ballpark figure and prepare a quote.
- To arrange and run the grazing, including access, water, fencing and check-ups.
- To meet our obligations for livestock movement, biosecurity, animal welfare records and insurance.
- To invoice you and keep the tax and business records we’re required to keep.
- To contact you about your booking, including urgently if there’s a problem on site.
- To measure which pages and ads bring in enquiries, so we know where to spend money.
- To let you know when we open bookings or when we’re working in your area — only if you’ve enquired, and every message has a way to opt out.
We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t rent or trade contact lists.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
This site uses three tracking tools. All three are run by companies outside Australia.
- Google Analytics 4— how the site is used, in aggregate.
- Google Ads conversion tracking— whether an ad click led to an enquiry.
- Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API— the same, for Facebook and Instagram ads.
You can opt out of most of this. Browsers let you block or delete cookies; Google offers an Analytics opt-out add-on; and ad preferences can be changed in your Google and Meta account settings. Blocking these tools doesn’t stop you using the site or sending an enquiry.
Who we share it with
We give personal information to other parties only where we need to:
- Google— enquiries are written to a Google Sheet, and our email runs on Google’s services.
- Vercel— hosts this website and processes form submissions in transit.
- Meta— data about ad clicks and conversions.
- Government agencies— Local Land Services, the NSW Department of Primary Industries and the National Livestock Identification System, for the property and movement records required to run livestock on your land.
- Our insurers, accountant and professional advisers— where a claim, audit or dispute makes it necessary.
- Contractors working with us— for example a float driver or a vet, limited to what they need for that job.
We’ll also disclose information where the law requires it.
Information going overseas
Google, Vercel and Meta store and process data on servers outside Australia, mainly in the United States. By sending us an enquiry through this website you agree to that disclosure. Once information is held overseas we can’t guarantee the recipient will handle it the way Australian privacy law requires, and Australian law may not be enforceable against them. If you’d rather not have your details go offshore, ring us instead of using the form.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don’t turn into bookings are kept for up to two years, so we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us. Customer records — quotes, invoices, livestock movement and welfare records — are kept for at least seven years, because tax, biosecurity and insurance rules require it. After that we delete them or strip out anything that identifies you.
Keeping it secure
Enquiries travel over an encrypted connection and land in an access-controlled Google Sheet. Accounts that hold customer information use multi-factor authentication, and access is limited to the people who need it to do the work. No system is perfectly secure, and we can’t promise otherwise — but if a breach happened that was likely to cause you serious harm, we’d tell you and the OAIC, as the notifiable data breach scheme requires.
Seeing or correcting your information
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to fix anything wrong, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details below. We’ll respond within 30 days and won’t charge you for the request.
Occasionally we have to say no — for example, we can’t delete livestock movement or welfare records we’re legally required to keep, and we can’t hand over information that would reveal someone else’s personal details. If we refuse, we’ll tell you why in writing and how to take it further.
Marketing and unsubscribing
If we email or text you about the business, every message will identify us and include a way to unsubscribe, as the Spam Act 2003(Cth) requires. Unsubscribing stops the marketing; we’ll still contact you about a booking you’ve made.
Complaints
If you think we’ve mishandled your personal information, tell us first — use the contact details below and we’ll look into it and reply within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with how we’ve handled it, you can take the complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC):
- oaic.gov.au
- Phone: 1300 363 992
Changes to this policy
We’ll update this page as the business changes or the law does, and change the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we handle information we already hold, we’ll make that clear rather than quietly editing the page.
